Subliminal Self-Portrait

Within this piece, I wanted to incorporate my core value collage within my self-portrait since the collage is what I want to be and strive for this year. This would be a creative design choice to be able to depict the story I wrote to help generate design ideas for this work. Using the collage with different values as the base layer was intentional to depict the different moods that I experienced. Some days are gloomy, sad, and happy. However, my goal with the words was to state the strongest line within my story. Which was wanting to be “The Person Who Can Be Happy During Dark Days”. Through feedback from fellow peers they were able to depict what I was trying to communicate within my work.
